1.Responsibilities for contract workers

If you outsource a project to one or more companies within an area subject to a general collective pay agreement, you, as the client, are responsible for informing and checking that the company guarantees its employees the same general pay and working conditions as those agreed to in the relevant Norwegian collective pay agreement.

As the client of the foreign company with posted employees, you are jointly responsible for their health and safety.

2.Joint and several liability

If the company doing the project does not pay tax for its employees who work in Norway, you can, as the client, be held liable for ensuring the tax is paid.
